The Prophecy Page – The Introduction

The holy God of our Lord and merciful Savior Jesus Christ communicates with His people via a variety of different ways. He changes not. Hebrews 13:8. These methods are revealed in both the Old and New Testaments, and He still employs them to communicate today to His people. They consist of the written word in the form of holy scripture, divine inspiration, hymnal singing, angelic visitation, other people (esp. His own), events, special knowledge, visions, sermons, dreams, once upon a time reportedly through the constellations, and through an animal if necessary: Numbers 22:22-35; 2 Peter 2: 14-16. He is a God whom has declared, “Is not My Word like a fire? saidth the Lord; and like a hammer that breaks the rocks in pieces?” Jeremiah 23:29. And, “So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth: It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”. Isaiah 55:11.

This informs us that regardless of any other method of communication God’s Word via scripture is His most prominent technique to communicate with mankind. Yet, in this writing my focus shall be on dreams and visions. The Lord not only warns people in dreams (Matthew 1:20-25), but during this phase of relaxation, concerning our sense of conscience His revelatory information can be channeled into our minds while by-passing other centers of thought processing. Dreams come to us in symbolic language, and like the parables of the Lord they must be deciphered. Most dreams come from God, and the subjects they deal with greatly vary: Warnings, revelations, consolation, directions, guidance, information, and even answers to prayer.
