It started like any other day… No! That’s not right. And because that’s not right. I’m forced to reinvent how I would like to commence this preamble. To myself and to you the reader, it may have seemed like it started like any other day, but of course there were a number of high profile retroactive events that had led up to “the Donalds” seemingly irreversible combustible statement. For some, it wreaked of insensitivity, and had the tasteless scent of an inexpensive bottle of red wine squeezed from seedless rotting grapes. For some, Donald Trump may have seemed heavily intoxicated after consuming a classic bottle of Dom Perignon before his quazi-quizotic news conference. However, for others, what he said was at the zenith of an ingenious moment to bring attention to an immigration system in desperate need of repair. And that’s the precise strategy he used the day he announced his running as a candidate for the presidency of the United States of America. It was captivating, it was memorable, it was reflective of someone who defied the risks of sending numerable messages to various audiences, both international and domestic, for multiple political and social reactions, and millions of dollars in financial consequences to enlarge his campaign drive with an emotive appeal towards older Americans. Such Americans feel their America is gradually being transformed away from the country they grew up in. Actually, I was not going to write anymore on this topic. But I gotta go with the flow on this one. Not everyone wants to go with every flow forced upon them. Just one of those days.
The weird thing about this is, the American Christian church is so silent about importing a potential religious aspect with some of the highest intolerable characteristics for Christianity on the earth. While Donald Trump’s message was definitely aimed at differing audiences, I strongly believe, it was also aimed as a counter influence for his most formidable opponent. An opponent that he has held polarizing views with for a while now. An opponent who has commercial obligations to overseas managers in a diplomatic game of nations. It kept nagging at me. I kept asking myself, has that opponent been offered a stockpile of money, or something after his elected term to sell the nation out? But then again, if Muslims are mistreated here in the Western world, How can Christians in the Western world appeal to Muslim leaders in the Third world to address Christian grievances and persecution? Tis true, it would be nice if all humans loved all other humans in a loving world become perfect, but we come in a variety of beautiful colors with so many flaws, and a lot of notions of what’s good to make the world a better place to live in. Personally, I trust my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to make the world a better place. Getting back to Donald Trump’s message? Maybe, just maybe I don’t even know what I’m talking about, but I’m going to keep talking. For instance, for an American politician to actually implement what Donald Trump has proposed is totally out of the question, because from the standpoint of many Americans, that line of thinking should not come into our perspective. It shouldn’t hold any weight. If that’s the case, then the King of predominantly wahabbi Sunni Muslim Saudi Arabia is Donald Trump, and the Emir of predominantly wahabbi Sunni Muslim Kuwait is Donald Trump, and the Sultan of predominantly wahabbi Sunni Muslim Oman is Donald Trump, and the Emir of Abu Dhabi of predominantly wahabbi Sunni United Arab Emirates is Donald Trump, and the King of predominantly Shia Bahrain is Donald Trump, and the Emir of predominantly wahabbi Sunni Muslim Qatar is Donald Trump. Why? BECAUSE EVERY ONE OF THOSE WORLD LEADERS HAS ALREADY DONE TO THEIR PREDOMINANTLY MUSLIM SYRIAN BRETHREN EXACTLY WHAT DONALD TRUMP WANTS TO DO TO THEM IN AMERICA! They literally locked the door on them to keep them out of their respective countries. I almost forgot, we’re in America, and when it comes to keeping Americans safe from being killed by international threats, Shhhhh! We’re supposed to be quiet about it. But our domestic media has refused to stress that fact. Will the American media repeatedly broadcast the excuse those nations make to ban refugees from their nations? Will that truth reverberate across the television screens of America on a daily basis? The reason those Mid-eastern Gulf kingdoms have indicated they don’t want Syrian Muslim refugees in their nations is, THEY DON’T WANT TERRORISTS IN THEIR NATIONS. Shhhhh! The American people are not supposed to acknowledge that, and should not discuss it so much. But guess what? There are times when people who do not normally agree with one another will come together to face a common threat. I’m not saying he has come that far, but apparently he has ideas that can be studied by the Former Speaker of the House of Representatives. Tom Delay, has informed Newsmax TV Donald Trump “is onto something”. Maybe Donald Trump is onto doing what Mid-eastern Gulf leaders have already done?
After the November Friday the 13th, 2015 attack on the French capital city of Paris, which killed 130 people, President Obama indicated Americans should not be swayed by the violence into believing the USA should turn away from receiving a miniscule number (10,000) of Syrian refugees. At the G20 economic summit in Turkey, he declared, “Slamming the door in their faces would be a betrayal of our values”. Turkey is the same country the president openly informed the world America is not a Christian country during a previous visit. If this man (like his bipartisan predecessors) is encouraging the immigration of atheist, and various religious entities to come across our borders to force a change in the religio-demographic composition of the country, I agree he is succeeding. But whether the importation comes attached to many people without a conscience, or the differing religious bodies slip those in who acquiesce to teachings to murder those who disagree with their religion, or irreligious beliefs which brings the potential for violent friction, that makes us less safe. ISIS said they will sneak their fighters in with the crowd. Many people are wondering whose side President Obama is on. As for testing Syrian refugees for religious values? On November 15, 2015, while at the G20 economic summit in Turkey, President Obama called it “shameful” and said “That’s not what America stands for. We don’t have a religious test on who’s a Muslim, and who’s a Christian. We don’t discriminate…The U.S. does not have a religious test. Those are the universal values we stand for, and that’s what my administration stands for”. After the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill to create measures to enforce stricter screening on the flow of refugees entering America, President Obama threatened a veto to override any legal threat to his desire to bring in the refugees.
Then on December 02, 2015, after a party in the city of San Bernardino, California, a married Muslim couple of Pakistani decent, Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 29, opened fire with military grade assault weapons on a Social Services center. The resultant gunfire killed 14 people and wounded 21 others. The wife, Tashfeen Malik, had reportedly proclaimed her allegiance to the Islamic State terrorists group over the internet. While Syed Farook was an American citizen, his wife, Tashfeen Malik, was a Pakistani citizen who reportedly married her husband in Saudi Arabia. According to America’s FBI, the pair were radicalized in 2013, and as their radicalism grew in intensity. ISIL was on the rise as well. Unfortunately, the urge to carry out this criminal act of terror, left behind the couple’s six months old baby daughter. Saira Khan, the older sister of Syed Farook, has announced her desire to raise the child in a good setting. I’m sure, Presidential candidate Donald Trump, like so many other Americans, was dwelling on what President Obama was suggesting, and was moved into implementation regarding bringing in Syrian refugees to America.
Enough Was Enough
After this terror attack, Donald Trump now had a kickstart to proclaim to all within ear range what to do. On December 7th, 2015, he stated. “Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what the h___ is going on.” That statement is on Donald Trump’s website (It leaves out the h___ part). Later, he suggested it was for temporary purposes. One prominent politician called him “unhinged”. The statement ignited incendiary remarks from politicians across America, and from representatives of Muslim nations around the world. For myself, it was reminiscent of another politician’s infamous statement. A statement that also caught the Western world off guard. The year was 1972. He was a man who was also known for being capricious. Actually, unlike The Donald, he lacked a formal education, but was known for his outrageous speeches to the world. He was also a Muslim. He may have flinched with the notes, but he flared without them. In 1972, he sent an infamous note, and it read “Germany is the place where when Hitler was the prime minister and supreme commander, he burned over six million Jews. This is because Hitler and all German people knew that Israelis are not people who are working in the interest of the world, and that is why they burned the Israelis alive with gas in the soil of Germany.” – Idi Amin, president of Uganda, part of a telegram sent to Kurt Waldheim, UN Secretary-General, and Golda Meir, Israeli premier, on 12 September 1972.
I am not comparing Donald Trump with Idi Amin to the extent of their treatment of humanity. Idi Amin is accused of causing the mass murder of hundreds of thousands of Ugandans. That is a completely different classification. I am only comparing them, as far as, controversial comments made about their views pertaining to a mass of people who the world associates with a particular brand of religion, and the fallout from the comments. Donald Trump never called for the extinction of a whole class of humans. Hitler did with his “final solution”. In 1975, in his address to the United Nations, Idi Amin did, with his call for Israel’s “extinction”. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the former President of Iran did, when he reportedly called for Israel to be “wiped off the face of the map.” So many seemed to be insinuating Donald Trump’s ban proposal was akin to religio-cleansing, but he said nothing about traditional Americanized decades old Muslims born and raised here. He was only discussing the foreign born Muslims who were coming from countries, or adjacent countries sharing borders with, or in the vicinity of countries that has experienced the impact from, or fought domestic civil rebellions in their lands of birth. So many have the knowledge to execute a violent frenzy that is a detriment to civil safety. Is there evidence that that has happened in America’s past? Yes! In the 1990s, El Salvador’s civil war in Central America saw a stream of illegal immigrants fleeing to the United States. Many of those same immigrants created the violent gang MS13, which was considered the most violent, and one of the most racist gangs in the USA at the time. They learned that behavior from their parent country’s civil war.
Anyway, my book, “International Studies For The Christian” addresses a portion of the history of Lebanon’s decline from a majority Christian population. My report is not against Arabs. For example, Lebanon has some of the most beautiful Arab women, and I would marry one with no problem, if the situation were right, and she were a God fearing, Bible reading, Church attending Christian. Ha ha ha. Nevertheless, this is my second written blog about the man we call “the Donald”. Whoever is nominated for President of the United States of America by the GOP, or the Democrats, and if they win the presidency, I pray they make a good leader for all the people. “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.” 1 Peter 2:13-17
*UPDATE – On 12/10/2015 – Donald Trump says if he is elected President he will seek a federal death penalty for anyone who kills a police officer in the United States.
